Parks in Summerville
There are many parks in Summerville with walking trails, playgrounds, and dog friendly.
Azalea Park is a park located near downtown Summerville that is beautiful, especially during the spring with the Azalea flowers blooming. It is landscaped with flower beds, ponds, sculptures, winding walking trails, and tennis courts.
Gahagen Park is a large park located in Summerville that has plenty of activities to keep the family entertained. It has baseball and football fields that often have little league games going on depending on the season. The local youth athletics company Sertoma uses the football fields for their flag and tackle football games. There is also a big castle-like playground and picnic tables.
Ashley River Park is a Dorchester County park that features a playground, picnic shelters, a splash pad for kids, a fishing pond, a riverside walking trail, a kayak launch, an event lawn, and dog parks for both small and large dogs.
