About: The Moncks Corner and St. Stephen Lions Club has hosted this casual Lowcountry event for the last 13 years. While the ’cue gets judged, you can listen to the bluegrass tunes of local band the South Carolina Broadcasters and let the kids play in the jump castles. Once the winners have been decided, taste all the barbecue recipe entries, which will also be for sale by the pound the next morning.

About: Children ages four to 12 can try their hand at casting a line in this Saturday morning fish-off. With parents and grandparents at their side on the edges of Colonial Lake, little ones just might reel in red drum, croakers, and more.
