Crowfield Plantation in Goose Creek

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

Crowfield Plantation is a wonderful subdivision in Goose Creek which began development in 1981. Almost completely built out, the neighborhood consists of over 3,000 homes and 29 subsections. Homes in this neighborhood range in sales price from the low $100,000 to well over $500,000 with the highest sale being just over $1 million in 2006.

The Plantation is complete with a 78-acre lake and tons of walking trails perfect for running or walking. I have personally used them to run on for over 6 years. I completed the Kiawah full marathon last December after training on the walking trails in Crowfield.

Crowfield also boasts several other amentities such as pools, playgrounds, tennis courts and of course the Crowfield Golf & Country Club owned by the city of Goose Creek. Individuals can buy seperate memberships to the Country Club to play golf or to use the pools and tennis courts in the Hamlets subsection.

Children living in all subsections, except the Hamlets, are zoned to attend Westview elementary and middle schools. Children living in the Hamlets are zoned to attend College Park elementary and middle schools. All children living in Crowfield are zoned to attend Stratford High School, which anchors the Plantation at the College Park Road entrance.

Crowfield is a restricted community with a regime fee and neighborhood rules. A nine member Board of Directors, appointed by the Homeowners, oversees the Crowfield Homeowners’ Association. For this reason property values have remained strong in Crowfield over the course of three decades.
